Amazon Forest Barrier

Cumaribo, Vichada, Colombia.

Mechanism for Comprehensive Restoration and Protection of the Amazon Periphery and Its Communities

The Amazonian Forest Barrier was created to protect the perimeter of the transitional forest, the most vulnerable area of the Amazon. We are joining efforts with indigenous communities, businesses, and institutions to develop projects that restore ecosystem services by creating “Certified Natural Value Reserves” supported by carbon and biodiversity credits, to finance ecosystem restoration and environmental protection.
